Bicycle Safety

As we continue to welcome Spring a lot of us are eager to get outdoors. What better way to stay active and get some fresh air than riding a bike? Before we know it, we’ll be celebrating National Bike Month in May and it’s a great time to help raise awareness for bicycle safety.

According to Stanford Children’s Health, each year about 100 children are killed and 254,000 are injured as a result of bicycle-related accidents. Whether our children are riding for fun, fitness or with family, we want to support the efforts for safer streets, connected communities, a healthier planet, and happier people overall. What programs or events do you have planned?

I’m Safe has resources to help support your safety efforts. Here’s a sneak peek at April specials! Just use promo code APR22 when purchasing one of these items:

We also want to recognize that Bike & Roll To School Day is on May 4th this year! This has been a movement since 2012 in coordination with the League of American Bicyclists and today there are thousands of schools across America that participate – another great way to stay involved.

While we round out Brain Injury Awareness Month, we hope you had a chance to browse our recent blog on Concussion Prevention (including helmet safety items) and we look forward to supporting National Bike Month with all of these bicycle and pedestrian safety resources.

Wishing you a safe and sunny Spring!
