Get Ready For National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6 to May 12 and it is a time to recognize the contributions and achievements of nurses around the world. We understand nurses play a critical role in our healthcare system by providing high-quality care to patients and saving lives every day.

In addition to their crucial role in healthcare, nurses also play an essential role in child safety. They are often the first line of defense in identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect. Nurses can help prevent injury by educating families about safe practices for childcare, including safe sleep practices, proper use of child safety seats, home safety precautions, and more. Additionally, they can help identify signs of child abuse or neglect, including unexplained bruises or injuries, changes in behavior, or signs of neglect, and report possible cases to child protective services. Thank you to nurses everywhere!

According to data shared by Regis College, there are 27.5 million kids in America who need regular medical attention. 37% of U.S. children under the age of 17 have at least one health condition and 40% of kids say health issues impact their daily activities at least some of the time.

As the focus next month is on Nursing professionals, we thought it would be a good time to focus on resources for overall health. With products ranging from Handwashing to Nutrition to Teeth Cleaning and so much more, I’m Safe! might have what you need for your next health-centered campaign.

Let us all appreciate and salute the hard work and dedication of our nurses as they continue to make a positive difference in our communities, especially in promoting child safety.
