The Lifesavers Conference in Phoenix offered great educational sessions and the opportunity to catch up with friends!

The Lifesavers Conference, held earilier this week, was fantastic!  More than 1800 safety advocates gathered in Phoenix to network and learn what is new in occupant protection for children and adults, teen traffic safety, impaired driving, distracted driving and a number of other highway safety topics. (The sunny Arizona weather sure beats the cold in the Northeast at the moment!)  Lifesavers is the premier national highway safety meeting in the United States dedicated to reducing the tragic toll of deaths and injuries on our nation's roadways.

I attended excellent sessions Monday relating to the promotion of booster seat use.  (Thank you , Erin Kuroiwa and Joe Colella for their great sessions!)  I also attended great sessions regarding child passenger safety as it relates to ambulances, low speed vehicles and ATVs.  (The presenters were Marilyn Bull, Kim Hermann and Tomi St. Mars--great job, everyone!)

It was wonderful to meet so many new people at the conference.  I loved catching up with friends and customers.  It felt a bit like a family reunion!

It was energizing to hear what people are doing to help keep children and their families safer on our nation's highways, even in the face of a challenging economy and often with limited resources.  Keep up the good work, everyone!
