The Spanish Extension to the “I’m Safe! at Home” Kit helps many children and their families learn how to prevent common injuries using their native language. Through the classroom and take-home components in this kit, Spanish speakers can learn how to avoid falls, poisonings, fire and burns, drowning and airway obstruction.

The Spanish Extension Kit is designed to accompany the English I'm Safe! at Home  Education Kit for Head Start and the Early Childhood I'm Safe! at Home Education Kit. These time-saving kits offer flexible activities and lessons that are easy to integrate into existing programs. The Head Start version is keyed to Head Start Performance Standards.

The I’m Safe! At Home Spanish Extension Kit includes:

• 1 - ¿Estás seguro en casa? Classroom Poster: This colorful Spanish language poster can be used to teach important home safety steps as children look at the ways the Pup has made their home a safer place.

• 1 - ¡Ven a jugar a mi casa! Large Format Storybook: This oversized Spanish storybook teaches while it entertains. Through the story, children have a play date with Kip and Kayla and learn more about how to stay safe at home. 11" x 14" full color flip chart format, spiral bound, UV coated.

• 25 – Usted puede enseñarle a su hijo a llamar al 9-1-1. Parent Tip Sheets: These Spanish tip sheets encourage parents to practice dialing 911 with their children. The activity page on the reverse side can be posted by the phone as a handy reminder in an emergency.
